Catalogue from the 2019 exhibition Making Sense (Melbourne Design Week 2019). The exhibition itself sought to ask the question: how can we support, rather than compete? Making Sense was organised by Rida Abbasi, Zenobia Ahmed, Dennis Grauel, Noor Sleiman, Rachel Worcou, Alex Margetic, Hope Lumsden-Barry, and Ryley Lawson.

The catalogue is broken down into three sections:

  1. How can we make together?
    Reflections on the collective’s work and process.

  2. How can we learn and share knowledge?
    Reflections on The Reader component of the show, as well as internal workshops around the making of the exhibition’s brand and typeface.

  3. How can we build community through conversation?
    This section features interviews with: Play on PLay, Grace Dlabik, Louis Mokak and Angus Jones, Kitya Palaskas.
